Can all of us and I mean all of us agree this gentleman is not right upstairs?

Not everyone at Mr. Sanders’s rallies is dreading a Trump victory, however.

Victor Vizcarra, 48, of Los Angeles, said he would much prefer Mr. Trump to Mrs. Clinton. Though he said he disagreed with some of Mr. Trump’s policies, he added that he had watched “The Apprentice” and expected that a Trump presidency would be more exciting than a “boring” Clinton administration.

“A dark side of me wants to see what happens if Trump is in,” said Mr. Vizcarra, who works in information technology. “There is going to be some kind of change, and even if it’s like a Nazi-type change, people are so drama-filled. They want to see stuff like that happen. It’s like reality TV. You don’t want to just see everybody be happy with each other. You want to see someone fighting somebody.”

If you remember Charlie Manson had his Family commit the Tate and Labianca murders in the hope blacks would be blamed and it would start a race war.

Clinton wants to work to make mental health facilities more available and cost friendly. These people would greatly benefit from a Clinton Presidency.

Perfect training for suspension of disbelief, it doesn't matter if it's a drama or a "news" show...

I give him credit for having the courage to put his name and occupation to that lunacy, albeit it is misplaced courage.

Exactly, our politics has been turned into a TV show.

I have to ask what our economic and political leaders expected that to lead to if not this we have now?

The American news media have treated this election campaign like reality TV. They encourage viewers to take a side by emotional appeals; rarely are policy matters even presented.

It's fine to pretend to be horrified at the reaction of Americans to the horse race emphasis of political reporting, but we have seen middle class America go down the shitter over the past half century, under a variety of presidential administrations, both Republican and Democrat. And all we get from our political press is personalities rather than issues.

No, I don't share this guy's cynicism about the political process. But I believe its naive to think that it's rare.

Nihilists have always been around, whether they are aware, or bother with identifying as such or not. I wonder if there's been any studies to see if Narcissists and whatever the hell else Trump's deal might be are innately attractive to such types.

Sad, and rather disquieting. I wonder how many times Mr. Vizcarra has been divorced, and what his idea of "excitement" in a relationship is.

There are many, many people who share these musings, seeing the clownishness of Trump/Fox News as less dangerous than the insidious evil of Clinton/NPR.

Mr. Vizcarra says himself that it's a "dark side" wish; haven't Bushes and Clintons brought us to this place?
