Clinton's sharply targeted remarks served notice on the presumptive Republican nominee that she's prepared for a bruising general election fight, one that's centered squarely on his competency to serve as commander in chief.
"He is not just unprepared he is temperamentally unfit to hold an office that requires knowledge, stability and immense responsibility," Clinton said.
She cast Trump as dangerously thin-skinned, someone who might plunge the nation into war over a perceived slight. She repeatedly referred to her White House rival by his first name only a knowing dig at a billionaire businessman whose closest advisers reverentially call him "Mr. Trump."

(146,262 posts)probably the worst presidential candidate, all around, that the Repubicans have ever fielded. Not worst in policy matters, perhaps, but worst as a a candidate for President.
Nixon was awful as a President. Ronald Reagan deceived the nation as President. George W. Bush sent us into a war via lies.
I can't say what a President Trump might do. He could be worse than any of those three. He is not an intelligent man. He has few real ideas and the ones he has change from day to day. But, as a candidate for the highest office in this country, he will defeat himself when put up against someone who could give the speech Hillary gave yesterday.
Hillary established the ground rules for the General Election campaign, and Donald Trump failed to respond in any intelligible way. So it will go up to November.
Hillary outclasses Trump in all areas of being a presidential candidate. She will win, and she will win easily.
I can't wait!
