Susan Sarandon: Hillary Clinton “more dangerous” than Donald Trump

Speaking with The Young Turks Politics Reporter Jordan Chariton in California, Sarandon made clear that she believed because of the lack of media scrutiny placed on Clinton’s record, she viewed Clinton as actually more dangerous than the blustery strong-man running on the Republican ticket.

“I believe in a way she is more dangerous,” Sarandon suggested without mentioning Trump’s name, after Chariton asked her why Clinton’s foreign policy went largely unchallenged during the Democratic primary.

It is also disingenuous. If the nation sinks into social and economic crisis due to Trump becoming president, a multi-millionaire movie actor would be very insulated from the ensuing chaos.

The people that serve Susan Sarandon coffee, service Susan Sarandon's vehicles, clean Susan Sarandon's McMansions, prepare Susan Sarandon's hotel suites, and so on, however, are the ones that would suffer under a Trump presidency.

People who vote for candidates on the sole basis of what the candidate can do for them rather than what the candidate can do for one's fellow Americans are the epitome of ego-drive navel-gazers.

We know Clinton is going to continue the current wars, and appears eager to start new ones in addition. Trump is less predictable, but the worst-case scenario is no worse that what we know with certainty Clinton will do.

...added Libya and Syria, largely continued Bush's tax cuts, allowed BP to poison the Gulf of Mexico, allowed frackers to poison water, and many other horrible Bush policies. The Left is quite justified in being pissed off at the corporatist Dems for being near-clones of Republicans. The establishment has ignored the Left for so long, little did the realize the level of discontent. When they finally responded, it was insults and condescension. They've blown their chance now. Fuck 'em.

Obama ended the Iraq occupation, and the war in Syria is not one that Americans are fighting. Nor is it one that Obama somehow started. And you think that Obama somehow "allowed" BP's already existing oil well to burst? Are you kidding me?

I take it then that you were one of the people who thought there was no difference between Bush and Gore in 2000? If so, then you share some of the blame for Iraq.

Trump isn't a disaster, but because Hillary is such an effective part of the destructive machinery that is our corporatocracy. Trump won't be popular. He won't be subtle. His stupid is out there for all of us to see. He will be fought and humiliated at every turn. Hillary? She'll be fought at every turn on bullshit like Bengazi, while she colludes with the banksters, prison lobbies, and just about every other big money industry on the shit that matters, and nobody will breathe a word about that stuff.

I know you guys love to jump on these sorts of comments because on the surface they can be made to sound so absurd, but I wish you would bother to explore beyond the surface. But I don't expect you to examine her assertion, certainly not for the sake of soundly refuting it, because piling on about the crazy lady is more your speed.

But hey, if anybody has something substantive to say, I'll listen!
