Months after the primary, I'm still seeing dozens of Bernie yard signs, and *no* Hillary signs.

What does the complete lack of any visible signs of support for Hillary say about her elusive base of supporters? And what does the plethora of Bernie signs everywhere say about Hillary's ability to unify the party?

What is the neighborhood sign situation where you live??? Please weigh in with your "anecdotal" observations.

I'm in Massachusetts, btw, a state that Hillary supposedly "won" back in March. (I don't buy it for a minute, though.)

10. I have a HRC sign and a few bumper stickers.

I'll leave them to future generations--they'll be worth a fortune some day!

But DISPLAY them? Hell no! What's the point?

Anyone who is so stupid that they'd vote for someone because they see a sign on a stranger's lawn is probably too dumb to find the polling booth on election day. Signs and bumper stickers make the OWNER of them feel good. They're also attractants to vermin who would wish you ill--there are TRUMPeters who just might want to key your car for your Bernie sticker, or poison your dog for your yard sign.

This is a weird world--why invite trouble by announcing to people who don't give a shit about you who you are voting for? It's more "LOOK AT ME" than "Support my candidate."

Further, I think that the type of people who vote for HRC don't have a need to "Rah rah" and hoot-n-holler. They just get up off their ass and go vote. Quietly and with determination.

Also, I have found that the number of signs is inversely proportional to the likelihood of victory. Massachusetts was STINKIN' from all the Romney 4 Prez signs--that didn't work out too well for him, did it?

I'm in MA, too--and I'm not seeing many signs for anyone. A few "BERNIE" bumperstickers, and the very odd Trump hat on the street -- but that pretty much bears out my thesis. Because ALL my neighbors voted for Clinton.

11. I don't think it's a very good indicator

In my red state, I see quite a few Bernie signs and tons of bumper stickers and no Hillary signs and a few bumper stickers. And tons of Trump signs/bumper stickers.

In general, I've observed that Hillary supporters aren't excited about her - they see her as inevitable. (I'm sure there are exceptions who are very excited about her, I just don't encounter them.) But signage doesn't give an indication of how many people are out there that feel that way. Supporting someone you feel is inevitable is not really something that inspires you to put up a sign. Bernie supporters on the other hand, are fired up and realize they have a huge climb. They want to get the message out - so signs make sense.

There's definitely an enthusiasm gap between the candidates. Unfortunately, it seems most voters are willing to just go with the flow and take whoever the media and the "powers-that-be" deem appropriate.

I see Trump signs on the roadside (but not in yards) and have seen a small number of Hillary yard signs - mostly in the suburban area around the schools. A decent amount of Bernie bumper stickers though.

I don't personally do bumper stickers as I end up in red areas where people will mess up your car.

I do have Hillary mugs, and still have an Obama mug and wooden train.

I'm in an area with a lot of wide open farmland and swamps and those long stretches are where I tend to see the Trump signs. I think there is a lot of support but local demographics make people more hesitant to own it. I'm thinking that the central ridge you'd see a lot more.

I saw a ton when I visited Indiana, but I was also there during their primaries.

49. More bumper stickers now than during the primaries

I am in NC and in TN. I have not seen a single yard sign for any presidential candidate in either state. Not that many bumper stickers either, and they're rarely actually on the bumpers these days. So far, a few for Trump in TN and a couple in NC; one Cruz early in TN.

Have seen a couple for Hillary just in the last month, one in each state. They were the small (about 4 inch) "stealth" ones with just the H logo. They are easily missed. Seems like there was one regular Hillary sticker back during the primary in NC.

There were a few Bernie stickers back then, mostly in NC. I have seen a big increase in the number for Bernie just the last month in TN and in NC. Several dozen seen after the race was supposedly over.

Still a lot more Obama stickers around than all the others combined. Hell, I've probably seen more leftover Romney stickers than I have ones for Trump.

Don't know that any of this means anything. Maybe that bumper stickers and window decals have gone out of style. I did recently see a "Baby on Board".

69. "what does the plethora of Bernie signs everywhere say..." ?

What it says is the same thing that Bernie's YUUUUGE rallies say; nothing of consequence.

This is the 21st century...digital media, social media, an abundance of technology to connect and network with people across vast distances, alleviating the need to be physically present to build support.

Bernie fans harping about "signs" and "rallies" is the equivalent of 19th-century textile workers championing their traditional ways while decrying the Industrial Revolution.
