I'm 25 so I'm a millennial. Everyone for trump and everyone for HRC that I know treats me like I'm either a child or I'm retarded. I'm really losing my patience with the insults. In fact it's so bad I don't even know if I'm gunna stay with either party. I've always been a democrat. I have not and never will vote for a republican. The attacks are vicious and its all because of my fucking age!

Also this is not a winning strategy. If any of the other young people are treated half as bad as I have been this election than HRC has no chance of winning the general.

To her credit she does often speak of the need to improve public schools. One out of four isn't very good, and there are plenty of other issues that we could discuss.

But they aren't my people. Over the decades I come to realize, that really really matters, lol. I am trying to get back. But, we do not always get what we want. Sometimes, for the bigger picture, we have to just accept, and make the best of it.

I want the outsider, that would shake the govt up, since early 1990's. To this day. I started with Sanders. The first day he came out and knowing my first time voting son, I gave Sanders to my son. His first comment, he is a socialist and people won't vote for him.

I told him to listen. That Sanders addresses exactly him. That Sanders was talking to him.

We had about 6 months of my son being a Sanders supporter. He also reads and is informed. Thinks too. So, as a mama, and respectful to him, I didn't say anything about the election, so his first time voting could be as grand as I wanted it for him.

I had done the research on Sanders, listened to Sanders and I developed strong issues with Sanders. My right too.

About 6 months in or more.... about Feb., my son told me that he had compared Sanders issues to Clintons issues, and he thought Clinton issues were much stronger and there were Sanders issues he really disagreed with.

He voted Clinton in the primary. Which was probably the conversation we had where he stated that he had changed his mind. I literally stayed out of his process.

I love politics. I love being a parent. I love having a 21 and 18 yr old. And the nieces and nephews. My kids are GREAT. Literally. They have been kind to me, and easy on me, and make pretty damn good choices. I graduated with my son, just a week ago. I know longer have to be that directing and guiding parent. They have earned the right to make their choices, and I am FREE.

My point. The people you are yelling at are parents, who have kids, that we love with all our heart, and have spent a lifetime listening to.

Do you... Listen.

I think life will become a hell of a lot less irritating, understanding where another is coming from. I hear your anger and frustration and would love hours talking with you. Cause a sentence doesn't do it. Hence, this long post.

Democracy is a system of government in which everyone participates. If you successfully convince a majority of people to agree with you, you win. If you don't, you lose. That's it. And nowhere along the way has the Bernie Sanders "movement" made any effort to appeal to people who don't already agree with what they think. In fact, it's been more of your allies insulting and castigating their way through this primary than anyone else. Your fellow Berners have become mouthpieces for rightwing lies, all because they let their emotions get manipulated into HATING a political opponent, instead of being able to be grown-up enough to understand that people can disagree with you without being transformed into a caricature of Satan Incarnate.

Bernie supporters have repeatedly called African-Americans for Clinton "low-information voters" who "don't know what their best interests are." That African-American voters would undoubtedly be voting for Sanders "if they knew more about him," as though anyone who doesn't vote for Sanders must automatically be too stupid to understand what they're doing. The implication has clearly been that African-American Democrats need white progressives to tell them how to vote and for whom to vote. Do you genuinely believe this attitude was supposed to GROW the Bernie Sanders coalition? I sure hope not.

Bernie supporters have also repeatedly insulted the women who have voted for Clinton, of all races, by implying that they're "voting with their vaginas." Sanders surrogates like "Killer" Mike (Great idea, btw, getting a surrogate who calls himself "Killer" like it's nothing) embarrassed themselves by saying such offensive stuff like "having a uterus doesn't make you qualified," as if that were Clinton's sole argument for her candidacy. So many male campaign surrogates for Sanders have been caught making this argument, which is offensive to women who've been putting up with patronizing speech like that for their entire lives. Do you genuinely believe that insulting women voters, who make up a majority of Democrats, was supposed to GROW the Bernie Sanders coalition? Again, I sure hope not.

I'm really losing my patience with the kind of voters like you who think that participation entitled you to automatic victory. You can't acknowledge that you backed a candidate who ended up less popular in a system based on majority voting than you expected. Do you see Martin O'Malley supporters throwing shit-fits online about the injustice of their candidate not winning? No, you don't. So what's the difference between you and Martin O'Malley supporters, where they're mature enough to accept the results but you're not?

A national election in a nation of more than 300 million people is not, NEWSFLASH, about your feelings. If you need a hug, go upstairs and ask mom or dad for one. The Democratic Party is the most diverse party in this country, and yet your side thinks you should be put in charge exclusively because you demand it. That's not how democracy works, but it is how "privilege" works. And if you're tired of hearing that, find a new hobby. My son is a millennial (someone please correct my spelling if necessary) and is for Bernie. He would agree with everything you said, as do I.
The response you got from so many is part of the reason the effort to "unite", if that happens at all, will be very difficult indeed.
They are part and parcel of the Hillary campaign. Not a winning recipe for a leader and uniter of the party.
We will see how much the Democratic party has shrunk after this election as so many will reregister as independent.
So hate on haters, when you have nothing of value to contribute to the conversation, just spew your hate and move on.

Many I know have spent a lifetime being medicated because their parents and teachers couldn't 'control' them. Neither republican nor democrat are proper nouns. They're common nouns, used to generically describe individuals affiliated with either party.

The parties themselves would be capitalized, because they are proper nouns - the Republican Party, the Democratic part (the is usually not capitalized in titles, except when it is.)

The plural version gets a little tricky, and depends on how you're using it. If you're just pluralizing the common noun, it remains lowercase - "some republicans believe..." for instance. But if you're using it as a summation for the party as a whole, it is capitalized - "the Democrats issued a statement today..."

I suggest you learn how capitalization works in English before trying to chastise someone else over it.

While we're on it, never use single quotation marks like that. Single quotation marks are only valid for when a a quote is being used inside another quote.
