Many Sanders Supporters are Treating Clinton the Same Way Republicans Treat Obama

http://www.forwardprogressives.com/many-sanders-supporters-treating-clinton-how-republicans-treat-obama/

Republicans have relentlessly bashed anything and everything President Obama has said or done since before he was even elected in 2008. I can still remember right after he announced that we had found and killed Osama bin Ladin, a moment that would have normally galvanized Americans, many Republicans instantly began claiming that he didn’t deserve any credit because he didn’t personally pull the trigger. For the first time in American history, a president wasn’t getting credit for something historic that happened during his presidency because he didn’t personally do it.

.........

Then any source that doesn’t tell Republicans what they want to hear is usually dismissed as part of the “liberal media” that has a “pro-Obama/Democrat agenda.” So, why does this happen? Simple: Because they want to hate him – they’re told to hate him – and they surround themselves with a seemingly endless supply of “news” and information sources that come up with all sorts of reasons why they’re justified for hating him.

Well, the same goes for many of the more hostile pro-Bernie Sanders/anti-Hillary Clinton folks. It doesn’t matter what Clinton says or does, they want to hate her so they’re going to. Any facts you might use to debunk whatever talking point they’re trying to sell will simply be dismissed as “bias pro-Clinton media.”

What the RATpubliCONs did to Obama was straight up bigotry

Now before you get into a tizzy screaming Misogamy, what WE TRUE Democrats object to is the Clinton's Legacy of Republican-Lite Policies. YES - Bill Clinton was a far cry better then Reagan's Legacy of Trickle Down Theory and Class-Warfare, just as Obama was a 1000% improvement over the failures of the Bush's Deregulation and Corporate Tax Cuts.

BUT we still have a long ways to go to get back to the Democratic Party of Roosevelt, Kennedy, and LBJ

AND Bernie IS the one to take us there

Hillary, Inc. always amazes me with this perpetual return to victimhood.

Back to beginning I guess. Cue the jukebox's autoplay list.

for reasons that are all to obvious and valid.

Dishonesty
Inauthenticity
Can't count on them to be Progressive
in bed with the 1%
hawkish

What more do you want?

It's a true puzzlement that people will vote for this and call themselves part of the Democratic Party.

primary rivals, like the candidate they seek to defeat. That's how it's done. Of course many in Camp Clinton think the rules should be different for Bernie and those like him. That's uber clear.

In 2008 the Hillary supporters were acting pretty much like the Bernie supporters are now. It's a process. It will end.

Lots of wasted taxes in the military. Lots of wasted lives in our prisons. Lots of wasted pensions in the stock market. But education, healthcare, and family leave? Totally untenable say the republicans and democrats.

It's no wonder people are hostile to the establishment democrat.

I was for both Hillary and Bernie. Watched the debates and still liked some of what both had to say.

Then always seeing negative things from Bernie supporters became a complete turn off.

So thank you media and Bernie supporters.

Many Sanders supporters "also" relentlessly bashed anything and everything that President Obama did, or said. They haven't changed, the hated him, they hated the party, and they have simply transferred that hate over to Hillary. Hell some of them have thrown Elizabeth Warren under the bus for not endorsing Bernie, they have gone after politicians, super delegates, and pretty much anyone who hasn't committed to supporting Bernie.

I hate to say it, but many of these people are not Democrats, Liberals, or Progressives, and have never voted for a Democrat in their life and never will. They have come here over the years to cause problems especially during elections. They push the "both parties are the same" crap, Obama was just like Nixon, Hillary is just as bad as Trump and numerous other BS right wing talking points.

Bottom line is they don't want any Democrat in the WH and they are doing their best to convince people they should just stay home and not bother to vote. Now how stupid an idea is that when the alternative is having an idiot like Trump become president? Who would benefit if voters stayed home? Think about it people, don't let the trolls win this one for Trump.

then there is disagreement.

The TPP is corporate law written by the biggest corporations. There is no way I will praise the president for siding with the GOP and trying to pass it. Many Democrats in the House oppose it as do the labor unions.

Eric Holder was a Wall Street lawyer who went soft on Wall Street crime and now is back working for those same Wall Street banks he failed to prosecute. The banks still commit crimes and no one goes to jail.

The Iran Deal was awesome! He and Kerry did a great job. Thank goodness Hillary wasn't there to screw it up! I'm surprised she didn't get Obama to attack Iran like she did Libya. She wanted to attack Syria but luckily Obama came to his senses and quit listening to her NEOCON war mongering.

Obama got the ACA passed which is better than what we had but he refused to even allow single payer to be discussed and went ahead and cut a deal with the insurance industry in private. Still America is the only one of the top 25 wealthiest nations that doesn't have universal healthcare.

The specifics matter a great deal. I would hope that good policy is more important than just towing the party line. Because both parties have certain levels of corruption in them. The policy and actions of our leaders need to represent the American people not Wall Street...
