2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSecretary Clinton is on a roll, hasn't lost a race in June. Big mo heading to the General Election!
So far in June, Secretary Clinton has won the Virgin Islands in a landslide and Puerto Rico decisively. The June 7th contests will give Secretary Clinton the long sought after clinch of the nomination. And on June 14th, the DC primary will be a final contest that will be the icing on the cake ... another clear victory for her, if not another landslide.
Once this is all over, it's time to focus our energies towards the Republican Presumptive Nominee Donald tRump. Other than just the embarrassment of having him as our chief executive, we can't allow the Republicans to roll back women's reproductive rights, the Affordable Care Act, gay rights, minority rights, etc. And one of the most important issues, we don't want Republicans replacing 3 to 5 Supreme Court Justices if we want to keep these gains and if we ever want to get Citizens United overturned.
Are things better than they were 8 years ago ... absolutely. Could we do more to make things better? Sure. But Secretary Clinton is the best person for us to continue what President Obama has started, the gains we've made via the courts and improve upon it.

(42,685 posts)There were some posters here -- admittedly delusional ones -- claiming Bernie would sweep the remaining primaries and in so doing end up with a sizable majority of pledged delegates. When I get a chance, I'll post links.
In the meantime, maybe you can post links to polls showing Clinton with a 60-plus point lead in California just a few months ago. And while you're at it you might want to send them to RealClearPolitics so they can add them to their list, because there certainly aren't any such polls listed there now.

Update: I stand corrected. While there were suggestions about a "run the table scenario" being possible for Sanders, upon closer examination, the table conveniently omitted VI and PR (even though it goes back in time to a date prior to that, which makes the description "run the table" something of a misnomer).http://www.huffingtonpost.com/seth-abramson/bernie-sanders-could-still-win-the-democratic-nomination----no-seriously_b_9898436.html
