NPR: The AP news broke just as Bernie took the podium in San Francisco

Bernie vows to fight on in his stump speech, which is just like all his others; his campaign chairman in Jersey says yep, they're planning to take it all the way to the convention to let the superdelegates decide, and he thinks they'll back Bernie.

Personally I think Bernie's going to pull the plug tomorrow night.

today is no different than every other day leading up to July 25

The MSM called this race months ago and every day since.

And then came October and the first debate. But no one can say he didn't get a fair shake. Even after October he was still getting tons more face time on TV than Hillary.

and the reason Hillary wasn't on TV much is because she was freaking avoiding the press, which she still does to large extent.

He was initially characterized as a whacky old man and a socialist, who was a fringe candidate that might get 5 percent of the vote....Then as he started to gain momentum, a little more attention but always couched in those terms.

He got a little of attention when he actually started drawing huge crowds and raking in contributions. Then the debate. But Clinton's "great performance" was used as an excuse to marginalize him again.

Then he was sent to media Siberia for a while.

For a couple of months Bernie was barely mentioned. The election was all described as Clinton vs. (Fill in the name of the GOP nominee).

Bernie did not exist...or just barely...even though he was out there drawing huge crowds and pulling in contributions.

It was only until after New Year that he could no longer be ignored. But very soon the media reverted to the narrative that Bernie was just a "message campaign" and it was impossible to beat Clinton.

Tue Jun 7, 2016, 10:28 AM

He had a better chance because in 08 his Michigan win would not have counted. He lost by all measures...and this race has been over since March. No one called it. Did Hillary who ran for the presidency before and was well like in Congress have the edge...sure. That is what happens with a better-known candidate, but that did not stop a one term Senator from beating her in 08.

Had Obama delivered on some of the most basic promises he made in 2008, there would have been a similar groundswell around a populist candidate.

Unfortunately, many middle class Democrats have continued to struggle, and have continued to lack affordable health care and are making peanuts from Social Security.

Thus, they aren't going to trust the insurgent revolutionary again. So Obama without question has hurt Bernie.

BERNIE IS THE MAN OF TRUTH, INTEGRITY AND HONOR! THERE IS ZERO REASON FOR HIM TO GET OUT OF THE RACE UNTIL... AFTER THE CONVENTION! HE OWES HILLARY, DEBBIE AND THE DNC CABAL... NOTHING! SO WE REALLY WANT MORE OF HILLARY LYING AND OBFUSCATING FOR ... YEARS? MORE OF THIS! FUCK NO!

e.g., MSNBC To the deniers... Watch THIS Video... It is not comforting to think that she may well be the Democratic Nominee...

Hillary really betrayed Andrea Mitchell... The entire context of this report was of a solemn nature... A Funeral so to speak...

Andrea Mitchell "I do not see this report as ...ANYTHING BUT... DEVASTATING!"

Chuck Todd "After this I don't think that she could get confirmed for Attorney General!"

Lots of FIBBING by Hillary here.. for more than a year!

Bernie was labelled a 'fringe candidate', marginalized at the onset... people proved otherwise in the primaries... HRC shifted and was forced left hard... her campaign changed tactics... but always attempting to marginalize and impugn

'the Clintons are very, very good at.' HRC supporters acknowledge the reality but when presented with facts that support that contention that are used within the current? SILENCE, DEFLECTION and DENIAL and HRC folks wonder WHY people won't rally around HRC...

He will have lost by tonight. He can continue to deny reality, but it won't matter. He will be irrelevant. He can either recognize that, put on his big boy p[ants and work to defeat Trump, or he can ignore reality and attempt to weaken Clinton. One reason I didn't vote for him is because I think he's the kind of man who go with the latter choice. But I hope he proves me wrong.

The results of these six primaries will always be tainted.

It will be interesting to see Hillary's already high "untrustworthy" numbers.
