2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBased upon how many pledged delegates Hillary will have after today's voting is done....
Sanders would need to flip almost every Super Delegate in order to win.
That's a pretty tall order.

You are describing every single convention in history. No nominee has ever been chosen

Don't let a bad convention stop you! It's not over until Congress certifies the electors in January!

She'll be short several hundred pledged delegates needed to capture the nomination.

(20,997 posts)5. Neither candidate will have the required number of PLEDGED DELEGATES.
It will have to go to a delegate-by-delegate role call at the convention... And then we'll all get to see and hear those mysterious, anonymous super delegates actually take responsibility for their votes.

prior to the vote at the convention...this is not some incredible revelation. The vote you describe is a formality, Clinton has support from a clear majority of delegates, she is the presumptive nominee.

You could convince Congress to throw out the results, and install Bernie!
In fact, this might actually be more plausible than the silly scenario at the convention to which you are so attached.
