2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThere were reputable polls showing Hillary winning big in California,
but they were rarely reported by the media. I'm not sure if this was due to blatant bias for Bernie, or the desire to keep things a horse race. Either way our media and/or pollsters can't be trusted. These "mistakes" have been happening throughout this primary.

OP
The "news" needed news. The polls with her in a sizable lead made for a bad story.

Reporting it's over does not sell advertisements. They wanted the horse race with tight finish.

Yes and I remember being infuriated that only the ones showing them 2 pts. apart were reported.

Same thing happened to Obama vs Romney and the same thing will happen to Clinton vs Trump.

There will be plenty of crappy polls showing a horse race that the media will cherrypick. The final margin is likely to be close to double digits and the biggest Democratic landslide since 1964.

But compared to 2008, it was never that close.
