"Yes, he is a racist and he has made some very divisive remarks, but...."

"...we still support him because he is not Hillary".

On top of it all, he is a fraud. He says that "Hillary should be in jail" but with his transactions at Trump University and his efforts to intimidate a judge in the case, perhaps he is projecting the "jail" thing to the wrong person?

But, the bigger question is: What disqualifies a person from running for higher office, especially the Presidency of the United States, and where does the responsibility lie if he is elected to the office?

Republicans are content to say they "totally disagree" with his sexist remarks and his racism, but they think it is time to move on to the issues. Unfortunately, Donald Trump has no intention of moving on to the issues. And the Republicans that support him know that very well.

How long can they play that game and get away with it?

He just has rants and personal vendettas. Plays well with his base, but I doubt with mainstream GE voters.

If they keep Trump they are screwed w GE voters. If the dump Trump, they are screwed with their Trump loving base
