Why not punish the Republicans for nominating Trump?

The standard reason many Bernie-or-Bust folks give, just like their predecessors in previous elections, is that they want to send a message by punishing the party with their vote.

But, here's a better idea:

Punish the Republicans for nominating an explicitly racist, possibly criminally corrupt, completely unqualified, ignorant, fascist, mentally unstable, intellectually incurious, misogynist, unprincipled, bullying, thuggish, cruel, vile, horrid, petulant, man-baby baboon?

If ever a major party deserved to, nay needed to get stomped hard, really hard, it's the 2016 Republicans.

Even better, the misogynist man-baby baboon would be humiliated by massively losing to a woman.

I get that Clinton is an uninspiring or even disappointing choice for a lot of people. But how can anyone pass up a chance to vote to stick it to Donald Trump and the people whose 50 years of stoking white racism made him possible?

I don't know how Hillary (as president) can personally punish 10 million voters. Take away all government benefits could be possible.

officials who are not supporting Trump.

Their hoping to save the house and senate.

We should punish them and create majorities that FDR would envy.

I *expect* Republicans to be assholes, it's what they do, there's as much point in getting angry at them as in getting angry at the weather, it just is.

Democrats on the other hand are supposed to be on my side but so often they aren't.

And besides, Cruz was a lot more scary than Trump, Trump's a blowhard while Cruz is a true believer.

Worse than GWB43.

She's more liberal than Bill.

She's every bit as liberal as Kerry was while in the Senate (remember that he voted for Iraq too).

She carried out Obama's foreign policy as Secretary of State. Domestically they were never any different.

Her so-called scandals pale in comparison to the fundraising scandal that tripped Gore up.

between Trump's ideas and those of the Repub party and conservatives in general.

Paint him as just another Republican as far as policy goes, and let them twist into pretzels trying not to agree.

Don't spend all the focus on his own psychotic personality, that gives them an out they don't deserve.

It's not punitive to vote against the GOP nominee.

We're not interested in changing the direction of the GOP...we hope they continue to nominate this kind of asshole in the future. We're interested in demonstrating that you can't win elections without us and you can't win elections unless you capitulate and give us the nominees we will support.

No more Clintons! No more neo-lib big-business sellouts! Specifically, Never Hillary!!
