I know some here want Exit Poll data for California, but it couldn't tell the whole story anyway

Even if Exit Polling was done.

Most Californians vote by mail, most vote prior to Election Day.

The results on Election Day however, do show that Bernie was relatively close to Hillary among Election Day votes, but lost badly among mail in votes prior to Election Day.

This is in line with polling which tightened by Election Day, but on average had a high single digit lead when voting began a month ago.

why would you expect absentee results to match up final total results when they never have historically?
