Hillary Clinton To Address Planned Parenthood Action Fund

Hillary Clinton To Address Planned Parenthood Action Fund Membership in Washington, DC on Friday, June 10, 2016
TIME: 12:00 PM ET

Washington, DC — This Friday, June 10 at 12:00 PM ET, Planned Parenthood Action Fund will host a membership event in Washington, DC, featuring presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Secretary Clinton will speak about what’s at stake for reproductive health care and women’s rights in the upcoming presidential election. To attend this event, RSVP here.

“We’re thrilled to have Secretary Clinton join us at the Planned Parenthood Action Fund membership event,” said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund. “The stakes are higher this year than in any other election in memory. Access to safe and legal abortion, insurance coverage of birth control, and access to care at Planned Parenthood health centers are on the ballot in 2016. Health care for an entire generation is at stake.”

Planned Parenthood Action Fund endorsed Secretary Clinton in Manchester, New Hampshire, in January. Since then, Action Fund member organizers and volunteers have energized thousands of people for the Clinton campaign in over 20 states across the country. Cecile Richards has campaigned for Secretary Clinton in 20 states, most recently in California.

National and local Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations represent millions of people across the country — particularly young people, low-income women, the LGBTQ community, and communities of color — who are hit the hardest by recent attacks on reproductive health care.

“No other presidential contender in our nation’s history has demonstrated such a strong commitment to women or such a clear record on behalf of women’s health and rights,” Richards continued. “Secretary Clinton has helped move the country forward on these issues — as First Lady, as Senator, as Secretary of State — and she will keep moving us forward as president.”
