AFL-CIO Says 'No' To Debbie Wasserman Schultz

For the first time in 24 years, Debbie Wasserman Schultz will not get the endorsement of the AFL-CIO.

Despite winning the recommendation of the Broward County chapter, Wasserman Schultz failed to get the required 2/3 votes to secure the endorsement.

The National AFL-CIO sent out an advisory stating there would be no endorsement of Democrats who voted in favor of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

That includes Wasserman Schultz.

If you remember, Wasserman Schultz’s primary opponent, Tim Canova, protested the recommendation that Wasserman Schultz be endorsed, citing their failure to screen all candidates.

Turns out Canova was right.

At a June 12, 2016 meeting in Orlando, where AFL-CIO president Richard Trumpka was present, as was Wasserman Schultz, delegates from the CWA and the NNU spoke out against Wasserman Schultz. It resulted in the failed endorsement.

About time people start really looking at who they're voting for.
The last straw with me was the predatory lending push.
She needs to get gone.

Once she gets chucked out of office I'm sure her pal Hillary will be there to pick her up, dust her off, and give her a cushy do-nothing job at the Clinton Foundation. She'll be well taken care of.

losses was the fault of a "far left" that could never be satisfied and thus should be shut up and banned from the party and that the course should be to court payday lenders and private prisons and blame anyone who complained
she can go sit on an egg

Yeah, her track record is abysmal. IMHO DWS had only one job from the start. Lay the ground work for a Clinton candidacy.

that's why I'm so nervous about Clinton vs. Trump: Trump hasn't started wars while ignoring his own advisors because his personal bootlickers told him to, nor has he handed Moscow dozens of thousands of emails

in fact the only opponents the Clinton faction has been able to defeat in 25 years was the party base: any wins were due to dissatisfaction with or a fatuous posture of Iraq opposition (2006 House) or a dead-cat bounce because the GOP was doing so bad (2006 Senate)
