Are they done counting in California yet?

I just want to know if and when they will be done counting in that state.

I also want to know when I am allowed to say that Hillary Clinton won California and have that not be a controversial statement.

Officially you have to wait till July 8, 2016. See if you can do it without exploding.

Just be sure to make it as nasty and rude as possible so you can climb the ranks of Hillary Supporters.

EDITED TO PROVIDE REAL INFORMATION:

Election results are updated as often as new data is received from county elections offices after the polls close at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Many ballots are counted after Election Day. County elections officials have approximately one month to complete their extensive tallying, auditing, and certification work. They must report final certified results to the Secretary of State by July 8, 2016.

Haven't yet checked in today, though, word has it, we're still counting.

She hasn't won California yet.

that HRC is still holding a 9000 vote lead in Alameda, while Bernie has pulled ahead in Barbara Lee's district, which includes Oakland, Berkeley and San Leandro.

Clinton has 2,513,709, Sanders has 2,053,342, and there are an estimated 1,201,395 left to count. Sanders needs to get 71% of the remaining votes to win.

However, as a result of her other wins the last couple of weeks, Clinton only needs 17% of California to win the pledged delegate majority; since she already has 43% even if every uncounted vote goes to Sanders, the question is largely academic, IMO.

14. Thanks for posting this. Also, that 1.2 million unprocessed includes ALL parties.

The majority are probably Democratic votes, but there are also Republican, unaffiliated (and not voting Democratic), and the American Independent Party.

County elections officials must report their final results to the Secretary of State for presidential delegates by July 5, 2016, and all other offices by July 8, 2016. The Secretary of State will compile the results of the election of presidential delegates by July 9, 2016, and will certify the results of all other offices by July 15, 2016.

With the exception of a few holdouts and some wacky conspiracy theory blogs, everyone else has moved on.
