I just had a weird person on my porch.

Well I mean someone a little stranger than I am anyway. We have runoff in our city council district between a sitting council member and a person we know from work who we like a lot. We have a sign for her in our yard and have had since the beginning.

A few minutes ago I had a person knock on my door carrying a bunch of flyers, normally I know this is a politician, take a deep breath and answer the door. Today I forgot to take the breath, I should have. He shoved a flyer in my hand and proceeded to tell me in a very angry voice that the person we were supporting was a, hold your breath now, "socialist progressive nut". I was a bit taken aback and then I began to laugh. This did not turn out well. He became enraged and said "oh my I have one in my neighborhood". I said "yes you do and if you aren't careful you might catch it". He threw his hands in the air and stormed off my porch.

I didn't recognize him from the neighborhood, we have lived here 16 years so we know just about everyone, but it could be one of the many Trumpers we have here.

I wish you could have seen how red his face got when I said it might be catching. I didn't back Bernie but I consider myself a progressive, especially here in Oklahoma (the bar isn't very high) . I will defend forever a socialist progressive tag when thrown around like it was a dirty word.

Get out and vote people these nuts will!

walking down my street because of my Obama sign. I was sitting on the porch with my 9 year old niece at the time. She yelled "that's not very nice" at him. Lol.

Probably consider George W. Bush a socialist progressive, anything left of Cruz is too liberal.

Anybody or anything that is not Conservatively Correct is automatically "liberal", "radical", "nut job", "Marxist", etc.

7. Sounds like you handled yourself well. Hope he doesn't bash your mailbox.

The day that I put out Obama signs, our mailbox was dented-up. That winter, the snow plow driver deliberately swerved ten feet away from the end of our driveway and mailbox (and no one else on the road) the entire winter. "Big deal," you might say. Well, where I live, that IS a big deal. I complained, but it made no difference.

This may be my last post, since I'm not a fan of the new terms of service.

So, best to all of you!

9. I put a home made Obama/Biden sign in my front yard in 2008. Half an hour

later, that sign was broken in half and thrown down.

So I made another, bigger Obama/Biden sign and posted a "Geezer/Dingbat" just under it (and placed it closer to the house.

Later that day, there was a huge McCain/Palin sign posted in my yard. I just covered it over with another huge "Dingbat/Geezer" sign.

No one has ever bothered my signs again.

She said she had heard this before, evidently he sticks to our area though. I never felt he was dangerous just nuts.
