(13,340 posts)England is so far pretty strong for the leave position.
Could this be the end of the UK as well?

(20,176 posts)quite possibly. I think, minimally, it triggers another Scotland independence referendum.
One of Scotland's complaints that led to the independence referendum was that England dominates the UK to the detriment of Scotland, NI and Wales. If they all go for "remain" and England pushes through "leave", the future unity of the UK may depend on Parliament disregarding the results of the (non-binding) referendum and refusing to take up consideration of repeal of the European Communities Act of 1972.
Alternately, it may necessitate changing the apportionment of Parliament to increase the seats of Scotland, Wales, and NI while decreasing the number of seats from England to convince the outlying (nations? states? kingdoms? members?) to stay UK.

(24,689 posts)The votes are strong for leave with about 5% in. It starting to look like the remain folks didnt show.. probably not as motivated as the leave voters.
