The people of the world are obviously pulling out of support for neo-liberalism, but the capitalists' employees in the political and chattering classes? Nope, not so much. In this particular case, Will in not denying "trickle down", he's trying to stop the more obvious manifestation of "trickle down" in Trump's overt racism and proto-fascism.

George still wants to use "dog whistles" for his racism rather than do it overtly.

But not everyone who 'follows' George Will is a clone of him. He will 'inspire' others to leave the Republican Party -not many, but some- and some small number of those will find they actually prefer Democrats over Republicans.

Regardless of what's behind it all -ignoring the motivations- it's another crack in the armor.
