(68,868 posts)or are Berniecrats only those who haven't adapted to current reality?
La Lioness Priyanka
(53,866 posts)and endorsed by Bernie, means the candidate was endorsed by bernie
i don't think timing factors in
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)But, she's been endorsed by, and has said nice things about, Chuck Schumer, which may be a DQ.

(94,286 posts)I may vote for one of the other just to send a message that status quo voting isn't enough (nb - BREXIT vote this is not...)
La Lioness Priyanka
(53,866 posts)i wouldn't replace one a minority with a non-minority. actual representation matters
brooklynite
(94,286 posts)...and as I said, no likelihood that she'll lose her nomination.
La Lioness Priyanka
(53,866 posts)and express your concerns?
like, how is she supposed to read the poll numbers and know this was a vote to move her toward more action, vs a vote to move her to the right?
also women represent 51% of the electorate, and 20% of the representation in congress.
brooklynite
(94,286 posts)...and a bigger inconsequential political hack cannot be found in Congress. Notwithstanding the disproportionate share of women in Congress, I'd be happy to get rid of her, but she will also never be at risk of losing.
As for Velasquez, the two opponents are considered to be more progressive (one is a Berniecrat).
La Lioness Priyanka
(53,866 posts)not saying that is necessarily true for you, but if i were Nydia, i wouldn't get from a vote that you wanted me to be more active. i would get that from repeated phone calls or office visits.

(11,605 posts)I am really torn who to vote for and would welcome some insight. My first instinct is for Clarke, the Berniecrat, but it doesn't seem like he has much chance. I like Anna Kaplan too but I am not 100% convinced she is progressive enough, although she has taken strong stands in favor of a higher minimum wage, paid family leave, and equal pay.
