Related: About this forumthe SCOTUS decision today might clear the way for Kaine to be VP. He is pro-life but upholds Roe
It is his personal belief and he doesn't allow it to interfere with his political behavior. I like him for VP and I like Elizabeth to stay in the Senate and give them hell! She and Bernie in the Senate are going to be a powerful assist for President Clinton.

(1,385 posts)He's my senator. He's a nice guy, capable, well qualified. But he's boring. I just watched speeches of Liz Warren and Hillary Clinton in Cincinnati. Liz fires up a crowd in a way that Kaine could never do. Furthermore, the two women looked very comfortable with each other. I think Liz has passed the audition.

(5,901 posts)No pizzaz. No charisma. If we're gonna have a Moderate at the top of the ticket, we need Fire at the bottom. Bernie is the logical choice and most Progressive Democrats have him as their 1st choice.
Thirty-nine percent of voters nationwide said they would be more likely to vote for the Democratic ticket if Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders were on it, according to a new poll from Monmouth University.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/bernie-sanders-vice-president_us_576d761ee4b0dbb1bbba7942
The poll tested six potential Democratic and six potential Republican vice presidential picks, and Sanders was the only name to stand out from the pack. Among undecided voters, a whopping 50 percent said they would be more likely to support the Democrats if its a Clinton-Sanders ticket.
I know she doesn't want to run with Bernie .... but .... if she wants to unite the Party and guarantee a win ......... it's something to ponder.

(15,220 posts)Hillary has made it clear that she is pro choice. She doesn't need anyone on her band wagon that is going to compromise that in any way, shape, form or fashion.
I had, honestly, not believed that Elizabeth Warren would be seriously considered for VP because, like you, I felt she was going to be a very valuable Senator. But the dynamic of her appearances with Hillary, especially on a day like today, has made me re-evaluate.
I think it needs to be left to the "girls" this time around. Clinton/Warren will be just fine with me.
