Kind of a silly question, I think I know the answer. But, when does the next cycle start?

Is it the day after the November election? Actually, what I'm really wondering is..has anyone announced or suspected to for 2018 yet?

I realize they should have jumped into 2016, but with all the new enthusiasm for our party, I was just thinking about it. I am wondering if 2018 might be an interesting cycle.

1. Al Giordiano, who has lived in Mexico for the past 19 years

...and never lived in VT (though he's lived in MA near the border) may primary Senator Bernie Sanders in 2018.

Giordiano runs a website about drug news and has never been a government official.

2. Bernie will probably be retiring

to join the paid speaker circuit. He will easily command 100-150K per speech as the former democratic candidate and former senator.

3. I expect Sanders to run for re-election.

If he doesn't, he'll probably run a progressive PAC. Not give corporate speeches.

5. If Chomsky can I don't see why Sanders won't.

It's easy money.

7. Ask his speaking agency, All American Speakers.

I doubt he does engagements to individuals, but if you have the fee, maybe they will accommodate you. I hear it's up to $20k these days. Sanders would command a much higher rate.
