Fake "News" Factories: M$M Offering Interviews for Sale at DNC & RNC Conventions![]() Major Political News Outlets Offer Interviews for Sale at DNC and RNC Conventions by Lee Feng * July 1, 2016 * the Intercept FOR HIGH-ROLLING special interests looking to make an impression at the presidential conventions next month, one option is to pay a lot of money to a media outlet. Lobbyists for the oil industry, for instance, are picking up the tab for leading Beltway publications to host energy policy discussions at the convention, including The Atlantic and Politico. And for the right price, some political media outlets are even offering special interviews with editorial staffers and promotional coverage at the convention. ![]() The Hill newspaper, which is sponsoring events at both the RNC and DNC, offers sponsors “a turnkey and custom experience,” including a “Thought-Leader Luncheon” moderated by The Hill’s editorial staff and the luncheon sponsor, who also gets to “curate a list of participants from politics, government, media and industry.” https://theintercept.com/2016/07/01/convention-parties-lobby/

3. "News" for sale: "money is speech" and the sky is the limit.
The measure of a person, is the thickness of their wallet, not the content
of their character. Soon no-one who is alive will even remember when the news was actually news, and not an infomercial pretending to be news. Resulting in a GE where both party's nominees are the least trusted in history. |

decision, the Supremes were telling the poor that they are disenfranchised. In the political sphere, they are muted.
If money is speech in all marketplaces, I'd be typing one helluva lot less! I'm sure there are some who might find that a feature as opposed to a bug... ![]() |
