MSNBC is for corporations. It is owned by Comcast. It has been this way for several years. (In the 2000s, MSNBC wanted the Iraq War—and it fired those on-air hosts who opposed, like Phil Donahue and Ashley Banfield.) I don’t tune in MSNBC.

simply because they offered her money. She has no standards at all. It is about the money for her and she makes enough to sooth her memories of promoting an anti gay hate monger. She got a nice house out of the deal. Very nice. 'My Uncle Pat!!!!' she'd say, rolling over to show submission.

Stopped watching her then. I despise bigots like her 'Uncle Pat'. She profits off of hate spewed at other LGBT people and for that she's beneath contempt.

He showed the true face of the Republican Party, just like Trump does now. It's useful to keep the Republicans who aren't smart enough to hide their bigotry in the public eye, just to make it harder for the rest of the party to get away with their dog whistles.

I'm guessing it's a way of getting regular TV?

I honestly don't want to be bothered. I watch plenty of shows via Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. So what if I'm a bit behind on what's current? Not a problem.

The very, very best part of no TV is no commercials. For the longest time I'd turn on a TV if I was in a hotel room, and in the past year or so it's as if the TV is invisible to me. I've been without TV for eight years now, and this is the third major time in my life I've gone without one. At this point I can't imagine ever again having regular TV in any form, such as cable or satellite.

Plus, whenever some major breaking news occurs, local TV stations often go to live streaming coverage, and I can watch that on the internet.

allows you view any online stream, be it Live TV, Movies, Sports, TV Shows. When you combine Kodi with the online Repositories, you can watch Live US TV, Live British TV, or any world wide TV that is streamed on the net. Many of your favourite TV shows (entire seasons) and Movies are online as well, so no ads either !!!

I have Mobdro and Kodi on my TV and my android phone, and it's great.

For Mobdro, you need Android phone or tablet or Amazon Firestick (if you had a tv)

Mobdro for Android Download

1.Visit the setting tab from your mobile device.
2.Scroll down the setting tab and click on the Security.
3.Scroll down and find the Unknown Sources and click on it.
4.Now go to your Browser and type www.mobdro.com in the address line.
5.Click on the red box that says download the app.
6.Go to your notifications section and watch as the App downloads.
7.When it said Download Complete, tap it and follow the Install process.
8.Open Mobdro and accept the conditions, and you're ready to go !

For Kodi,

https://kodi.tv/download/

Then select the one appropriate for your system

Once Kodi is installed, then you need to add a repository which contains links to all those online streams. The best I have come across is The Beast. It's a bit intricate but so worth it

http://kodiaddonstv.com/install-beast-kodi-build/

Let me know if you have any problems.

Windows : http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/win32/kodi-16.1-Jarvis.exe

Android : http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/android/arm/kodi-16.1-Jarvis-armeabi-v7a.apk

And given that the Geek Squad just spent a week clearing out infections from this very deskstop, I'm more wary than ever of downloading stuff.

Just about everyone here knows that MSNBC, like the other cable news organizations, are owned by corporations. Accept the reality of that. They'll always program their shows based on their best guesses about what will garner ratings.

Meanwhile, in the world of the Right Wing, today was a disaster! Because they are detached from reality, they never saw the writing on the wall. The FBI's determination to recommend to not bring charges regarding Secretary Clinton's use of her private email servers kills them. In a strange way, MSNBC has done all Democrats a favor by highlighting how crazy the GOP is behaving. Put the Right Wing nutcase on the air and shine the light of veracity on those cockroaches! After all, most MSNBC viewers already skew politically to the Left.

Generally, I don't worry about conspiracy theories. But an earlier post today on DU suggested that Bill Clinton planned his tarmac visit with the Attorney General in order to neutralize her and force Director Comey- a Republican who led the investigation of then President Clinton's involvement in the Whitewater affair resulting in his impeachment- to make a public statement exonerating Mrs. Clinton. Coming from a former adversary, the clearance given by Mr. Comey neutralizes much of the anger on the Right.

I know it's not true, but if it is true, then former President Clinton still has serious chops for the politicking thing.
