Republicans throw FBI under the bus.

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and other congressional Republicans are expressing anger and disbelief at the FBI’s decision that Hillary Clinton should not be prosecuted for her use of a private email account while at the State Department.

Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, was first out of the gate, declaring in a tweet that “the system is rigged”.

Former House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) said, “If she were a Republican, she would have been indicted by now.”

for his worst crimes. He pleaded guilty to and was sentenced for structuring bank withdrawals to evade reporting requirements. He's getting off scot-free for being a serial child molester. When he gets out of prison, he's not going to be on the sex offender list where he belongs.

7. James Comey is a registered Republican

"He was the United States Deputy Attorney General, serving in President George W. Bush's administration. As Deputy Attorney General, Comey was the second-highest-ranking official in the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and ran the day-to-day operations of the Department, serving in that office from December 2003 through August 2005. He was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York prior to becoming Deputy Attorney General." (He was appointed to that position by Bush.)
(snip)

Politico reported in May 2009 that White House officials pushed for Comey's inclusion on the short list of names to replace Associate Justice David Souter on the U.S. Supreme Court.[35] Politico later reported liberal activists were upset about the possibility of Comey's name being included.

Comey has long had a reputation of being unscrupulously honest and (until today) was widely respected by politicians of both parties.

In addition, by design an FBI Director cannot be politically pressured. Comey is in the third year of a 10 year term. As he said in his address, none of his superiors knew what he was going to say today.

Let the Republicans try to eat their own. They will come away with a bad case of indigestion.
