First 538 Weekly Update: Clinton Holds 6.3 Point Lead, Making Gains in Battle Ground and Red States

I'll just post the link instead of excerpts. Its a pretty long article and i don't feel like picking through it this late. The overall conclusion as that the national polls are slightly tighter than in the last few weeks but that Clinton is showing significant improvements in battleground states and has made massive headway in red states compared to where Obama was in 2012. She is also outperforming Obama's numbers in the battleground states but is slightly behind where he was in blue states. Nothing too alarming though.

Less about destroying the GOP once and for all and more about getting democrats elected across the board in every state whether red, white or blue. But I'll have to be honest. I'd love nothing more than seeing proud democrats showing up to the polls and having a democratic revolution that sweeps this corrupt Republican scourge out of office.

GOTV and let's do this for our children, for our parents, and for our future. We need every republican in office shamed and voted out. Period!

One can only conclude that this is because of the butthurt of the extreme left/socialist wing.

"Extreme left" was from Fox news, and I always found it amusing because there is no extreme left in this country. Now its being thrown around on DU everyday, evidence of how much this forum has moved to the right.

and it is not the same as how Fox News uses it.

The extreme left has lost touch with reality and that is how one can both define and identify it. Having extreme pipe-dreams of taxing people at 90% and giving it away in assorted freebies is not realistic.

In 1992, the extreme left embraced Bill Clinton because of 12 years of republican rule had controlled their unrealistic expectations a bit and they were happy when Clinton won.

Now, after 8 years of Obama during which they complained about Obama 24/7, they thought the electorate had changed and will embrace the unrealistic thinking. It didn't happen and instead of accepting it, they turned delusional or radical.

The GE electorate has not changed -- it is still very much centrist and that is where the election would be won - in the center.

There is an XX radicals site out there where many of the unrealistic people went and today I actually saw a poster there wanting to send Obama to The Hague as a war crimes offender because the FBI failed to indict Hillary. Now you tell me if that is "extreme" or mainstream. Send Obama to the Hague as a criminal?

You tell me if it is extreme or mainstream a call for a revolution when a perfectly acceptable ballot box way was available.

You tell me if it is extreme to extort platform concessions after losing an election and then holding out for more.

You tell me if it is extreme or mainstream to plan riots and demonstrations when someone lost at the ballot and was rejected by the electorate.

Sir, yes, there is an extreme left wing.
