trying it out and seeming to like it, so we can probably assume he's spotted the problem with "trumpence."

That said, I bet his campaign is pushing Pence hard. This very religious social conservative is probably the most "respectable" of anyone possibly willing to run with Trump. I'd guessed that most who might fit that list would have dead careers. His may not be dead, but he may well lose reelection to governor of Indiana (for good reason), and if that happened Indianans would probably be disinclined to send him back to Congress in 2018.

Pence has told friends he is listening for a "call" to decide what direction to take. My assumption is it's his god he's awaiting instruction from. He has until Friday to decide if he's to withdraw from the governor's race.

He was never going to go with Newt...the guy is too well-known and has his own political profile. Plus, he's probably too old and he has even worse "family values" issues than Trump(other than the pedophilia accusations, of course).

No one, other than hard core right wingers, will go for this guy. He is looney on social issues and has fucked unions and workers over in Indiana.

Pence will piss off many and does not help Trump in anyway. There is also no foreign policy experience on a Trump/Pence ticket.
