Republicans Left Wondering If Donald Trump Will Kill The Party Or Just Maim It

Many Republicans also worry that Trump’s disorganized campaign and high disapproval ratings make a victory all but impossible, but others have an even more fundamental concern.

“There’s even a greater fear,” one Republican National Committee member said. “What if he really gets elected? Now what do we do?”

Other Republicans are less shy about that possibility. It would be a catastrophe, they say, and it cannot be allowed to happen.

“Whatever Hillary Clinton’s faults, she’s not ignorant or hateful or a nut,” wrote Mark Salter, who was a senior strategist to Arizona Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. “She acts like an adult, and understands the responsibilities of an American president.”

3. There are many who have announced that they will support Hillary over Trump

And some who are denouncing the Republican party.
Here are just a few:
Ben Howe, a contributing editor at conservative website Red State, tweeted before Cruz dropped out, “I am a fiscal conservative and I am a social conservative. That will not change. But I will not vote for an egomaniacal authoritarian. Nope.” And then he followed simply with the Clinton campaign’s hashtag: #ImWithHer.

Mike Treiser, a former staffer on Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, wrote on Facebook: “In the face of bigotry, hatred, violence, and small-mindedness, this time, I’m with her.”

Philip Klein, the managing editor of the Washington Examiner, posted a photo Tuesday night of a voter identification form showing him officially changing his registration from Republican. (He later elaborated that he still does not back Clinton.) And Cheri Jacobus, a GOP consultant and pundit who has been outspoken against Trump throughout the election, posted on Facebook, “I’m out. RIP GOP.”

Seriously, when Republicans say they will vote for Hillary over Trump it is not a sign that they think she is a Republican in disguise. It's exactly what Mark Salter and others have said:

“Whatever Hillary Clinton’s faults, she’s not ignorant or hateful or a nut,” wrote Mark Salter, who was a senior strategist to Arizona Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. “She acts like an adult, and understands the responsibilities of an American president.”

After Nixon took off the RNC was just about evicted from its DC HQ. No money, no one would admit to being a Republican...

And look how they bounced back. You wouldn't recognize the party of Eisenhower.

For generations the GOP and its corporate masters have made every effort to dumb down the voting public and manipulate voters through fear and bigotry. Donald Trump proves the old adage that you reap what you sow.

All the anti-Hillary folks are being had; supporting a guy who is there to make sure Hillary wins!
I think thats been his plan from the start, because its tough to believe a REAL candidate would run as incompetent a campaign as he has if they were serious about winning!!

Cartoonists need to start depicting the GOP elephant as a zombie, staggering on in a grotesque parody of the living.
