Related: About this forumI am impressed.
I am listening to Hillary's current speech & I am really impressed. There is no way that the remaining Bernie supporters aren't won over with this.

(4,311 posts)and I think she's done a great job of finding common ground and unity with Bernie's supporters and Bernie himself. I thank Bernie for the ideas and ideals he brought to this campaign.

(3,040 posts)I am glad she has adopted some of his platforms. I was blown away by how great and uplifting her speech was. I am fully behind Hillary! Now we need to win in 2016!!

(4,311 posts)We must win! The alternative is awful, and ALSO Hillary in the WH is the BEST way to keep Bernie's ideas going (not to mention her own ideas, which are progressive and inclusive).

When Hillary said Thank-you to Bernie for what he brought to the campaign, she meant it

(19,038 posts)Hillary is a liberal and has always been a hardcore one. It might have taken Sanders to finally let the Democratic Party be more bold and outspoken for liberal ideals.
I give Sanders a lot of credit, he helped other Dems realize how popular these ideas are.
Else You Are Mad
(3,040 posts)That was Sanders' ultimate goal.

(4,311 posts)Bernie has given her a lot of cover to go forward very publicly with her most progressive ideas.

(1,630 posts)As Bernie said, it truly IS, by far, the most progressive platform in the history of the Democratic Party!!

(601 posts)I've heard several great ones from her recently. Policy, policy, policy, Dumpster Twitter joke, policy, policy, attack Dumpster. Great formula!
Loved the joke about also accepting $27 donations (even though she flubbed it a little)!
Sanders speech was also great. What I liked that he did was use quite a lot from his stump speech (the stuff that matters to him so deeply) and replace his campaign's name with "Hillary Clinton" - it shows just how close they are on policy and is a clever way to show unity.
Thank you to Senator Sanders and all his millions of supporters for a lively campaign focused on very important issues!!
Else You Are Mad
(3,040 posts)$20 and $27 contributions!
But, I am glad both of them have come together. It was Sanders goal to make it okay to be liberal again -- and he succeeded.
