(11,605 posts)I have never heard of him.
I disagree about Clinton needing a military VP. Having served on the Senate Armed Services Committee and as Secretary of State with a larger-than-usual role in military operations, I believe she is well versed in military issues and policy.
Given that, it would make me a little sad if she chose a military VP, because it means that despite all of her experience, she still feels the need to compensate for being a woman by putting a big strong military guy on the ticket.

(9,148 posts)I doubt at all that she is looking for that particular image. She's far beyond that.
He brings something to the table she sees as necessary in changing the stagnant course we've been on with a useless RW Congress & Senate majority.
Maybe he will be vetted for another position.
There is much at the google link to help find out what it is that she finds worth the vetting.
I'll have to do some research since right now, I don't know much about this Admiral
Guess we'll know at the convention!

Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but since you pointed them out I thought you might be interested.
Glad to see a fellow Phillies fan. Are you going to the convention?
