Could the GOP reject Trump's choice of VP?

Maybe I've watched too many episodes of 'House of Cards', which I realize is not a wikipedia for how our government is actually ran.

However, if Trump comes out with a really bogus choice for VP, could the GOP reject his nomination and select someone of their own choosing? Toss the VP out there to an open convention?

I've seen many big names in the GOP reject the idea of being Trump's running mate. But would those same people think otherwise if the Delegation made the choice instead? (Something akin to 'We don't trust Trump and thus we want to put someone on our ticket that can take over the Government when Trump gets annoyed and quits')

Your thoughts?

I don't think there is anything out there that says the Presidential nominee has the absolute final say on his/her VP?

will almost certainly also vote for his choice of VP.

If he has the delegate votes, he'll get his choice. I'm not seeing any indication that he doesn't have the delegates, really.

All of the machinations of the GOP leadership aside, he did win those elections and has those delegates. I think he's the nominee, unless he personally bows out, which I think is unlikely to happen.
