Bill Clinton's speech will be one for the ages.

When I saw him at a rally in my little town, his love, admiration, respect and pride for his wife was incredible.

George H W Bush and George W Bush won't speak at the GOP convention.

Bill Clinton and Barack Obama will speak at the Democratic convention. I don't know if Jimmy Carter will.

He was going to speak at it but Hurricane Gustav gave him a convenient excuse not to. I believe he addressed the convention by live video instead.

I don't recall if he spoke at the 2012 convention.

No Tim Kaine or some other non-inspiring person...we need someone who will get us more votes. Bernie is the obvious choice but Hillary will probably not pick outside the established pecking order. Warren would be good although she could be hawkish too which we definitely dont need...the world needs to move beyond war not into it. I personally like Gavin Newsome. As for the "list" Sherrod Brown is the best but can we afford to lose him in the Senate??? He's one of the only sane people there. Maybe Booker would be something we could stomach.

the vice-presidential nominee on Wednesday at 10 PM and Hillary on Thursday at 10 PM.

The 9:00 or 9:30 time slot isn't nearly as important because it isn't covered on the networks.

Does this mean that Barack Obama will not speak on network TV in the 10 PM hour? That doesn't sound like a good idea.

Unless the plan is to get an extra hour out of the networks. Will they cover Warren, Sanders and the running-mate in addition to Obama? Can we get 5 hours of network coverage?
