2. much ado about nothing. veep choices really don't matter

they often get a 3-day bump in the polls but then nothing.

bottom line, people vote the top of the ticket.

the only time i can think of that people even think that the veep choice mattered was mclame/palin, but seriously, mclame would have lost regardless.

in real-time, people think it matters, but by november, it really doesn't. voters decide based on the top of the ticket, then justify it for many reasons, possibly including the veep pick. but the pick rarely actually changes anyone's mind, certainly not enough to swing the election.
