2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTell the media you are SICK OF "The Donald Trump Show"
I am so sick of CNN running Trump, Trump, Trump all day long. CBS even had a Special Report saying basically the same old crap about who/when Trump is to announce his VP pick - nothing new, mind you, just interrupt the program I'm watching. We all need to just turn the channel when Trump's face shows up or one of his supporters starts rambling the stupidity in their brains. Let the media see their ratings tank whenever Trump is mentioned.

(7,963 posts)I scroll right past it. And then I head to LBN where it is repeated and explained (I don't click on the link in lbn, either). I won't click on any links about Trump.

(23,156 posts)Or see if there's any chance of tuning in stations other than the "news" ones. There's probably a Romance Channel that would provide you with better information. Of course, I don't know if there's a Romance Channel since I've been without TV for eight years now and cannot imagine ever having one again.
Or, there's the BBC. Or Amy Goodman. I listen to both on the radio, but they're on various cable outlets.
Otherwise, just turn off the set and read a good book, or knit a sweater, or bake a cake. You'll feel better.

(83 posts)I swim laps and make jewelry, but I still need to watch the election (and Hillary).

(23,156 posts)if it's making you crazy. Trust me, you can still watch the election without an actual television, or at least by limiting your viewing.
I'm on DU, probably a lot more than I should be, I'll admit.
I'm frequently surprised at the posters here who watch Fox, apparently quite a bit, and spend tons of time on Discussionist, or JackPineRadical, or Free Republic. I've heard the excuse that they need to know what the enemy is up to, but that doesn't fly with me. Being genuinely informed about things is better.
