when you know how it ends.

It's the same with fairytales and children's stories. We know the ending, but it's how we get there that counts.

Same reason I like to read the synopsis of a film before I see it. I don't mind "spoilers" at all! LOL!

He stole Obama's thunder from the convention and got a pretty big bump in the polls from the Palin announcement. From the time he announced Palin until the market crashed in September 2008, a lot of people at my office (I worked for a DC political organization at the time) were scared Obama wasn't going to win.

However, he could perhaps run for President down the road. Have no idea if he has any such ambitions.

in 2004, 2006, can't recall the precise year. I do know I met a rather odd man who was telling everyone he'd be running for Congress in the near future. Once Grayson actually won his first election and I got to see him on the TV, it seemed as if he might be that same guy. I do recall a brash confidence that was somewhat off-putting in the man I actually met.

I think you have to have an almost boundless ego to run for any office.

I don't know much about him, but I don't like the idea of her picking a military VP. Between her tenure as Secretary of State and her service on Senate Armed Service, she is well versed in military issues and prepared to be commander in chief. I feel like her putting a military person as VP would be a tacit admission of concern that despite her credentials, voters still don't trust a woman to be commander in chief.

I think it's pretty sad if, despite Hillary's credentials on military issues, she still feels the need to put a military man on the ticket to assuage fears about whether a woman can be commander in chief.
