when young men and young women are put together "in close quarters."

“It is instructive that even in the Disney film, young Ms. Mulan falls in love with her superior officer! Me thinks the politically correct Disney types completely missed the irony of this part of the story,” writes Pence. “They likely added it because it added realism with which the viewer could identify with the characters. You see, now stay with me on this, many young men find many young women to be attractive sexually. Many young women find many young men to be attractive sexually. Put them together, in close quarters, for long periods of time, and things will get interesting. Just like they eventually did for young Mulan. Moral of story: women in military, bad idea.”

Yes, indeedy, things "get interesting" in workplaces, clubs, bars, churches, dances, book clubs, any social gathering when young and not so young men and women get together. So is Pence's solution to completely separate the sexes in those situations? This man is a woman-hating thug.

Pence is frustrated that he and his ilk can't implement their own form of "Sharia" here in the US. I complain that the line between separation of church and state has gotten somewhat thin over here in the US with a zillion laws a minute targeting abortion rights and LGBT equality but, thankfully, while a lot of people here practice some form of religion, not everybody is crazy about executing or persecuting LGBT persons or keeping women over here in beekeeper suits and men and women segregated unless married or family.
