Trump & Manaforte, you morons, DO NOTHING but its too late now

Normally here is what would be done
Fire someone, anyone. The problem with this outfit as Mark Halperin pointed out in Morning Joe (yes he actually made a salient point) there is no one to fire because there really isn't a campaign. Then apologize and add in some sort of joke.

Okay so Team Trump has:
Blamed Hillary
Blamed the media (victim!!)
Threw his wife under the bus

Since there is no one to fire and Trump is never going to apologize they should DO NOTHING. Let it be a story until this afternoon and then something else will come up. Take advantage of the 24 hour news cycle- there has to be a new story tomorrow- his actually getting the nomination today will wash this away. It will still be mentioned but the banner story tonight and tomorrow will be his becoming the nominee.

Manaforte is an idiot.

On Edit - this is the Star of David tweet all over again. They kept that alive well past its normal lifespan.

Fire someone, own up to it, apologize. Eventually something else will catch the attention of the news-cycle and the plagiarism will go down as an embarassing curiosity.

The "salami-tactic" (dragging it out and revealing things only slice by slice) only works if the dangerous information is on the verge of coming out. In that case: Admit what you can't deny and cover up the rest.

But once the info is out, the only way to make the scandal disappear is to make the story move forward to something else.
