Anyone else notice all the empty seats?

I'm watching this on NPR TV and the backdrop of the commentators shows an arena that is half-empty. I don't know if this is because it is still early in the program. I would think it would be standing room only.

that the arena is half full.

And, it ain't the empty half -- for sure.

the speaker doesn't even have to slow down his speech.
