As the RNC chair said, someone should be fired. But even if, hypothetically, it was all Melania's idea, the campaign should acknowledge her mistake. That would have shut up all the talkers. But those clowns just can't get their act together. Failed circus.

Why should she not be held accountable?

If she wrote it, and it's obviously plagiarized, then she's responsible.

If she's just a figurehead who can't think for herself and someone else wrote it and she got up there and read it, then that's even worse and she should be exposed for that because anything personal she said about Donald wouldn't have been her thoughts but rather someone else's.

Lies they told that hide that they want to jail Hillary because Republicans cut funding for safer foreign embassies.

is taking away from talking about the Republican party platform which is apparently the most backwards, oppressive and restrictive in history.

So while CNN is obsessed with getting the very bottom of a speech given by a candidate's wife, they are doing a real disservice to the public/voters by not talking about how insane the party's beliefs are.

And it makes sense - CNN can appear to be 'on it', when in reality they are just obfuscating what 'should' be being talked about.

they would NOT be talking about how abhorrent the republican platform was.

Up until the Melinia bomb, they were on their pre programmed orgasmic circle jerk of how great it all was.

Yeah, this issue ideally would not be the key topic of discussion, but sadly given the alternative of jobbing the republicans, it is better than nothing.

I wasn't watching CNN on day one, I was watching MSNBC and they were all over the fuckups that were occurring long before Melaniagate went down, already calling the day a disaster.

I dunno. I can say that now that CNN has this one issue, it feels like they've given up on anything else to a greater or lesser degree just so that they can chase down a story that will probably be forgotten sooner rather than later and honestly isn't even really all that important compared to the Hellish show that was last night.

and run it into the ground. I can't watch that network anymore. There are plenty of stories to report, not just one.

and load it into whatever software projects onto those teleprompters. That person got the file from someone. From Melania directly?

I think we tend to go to their coverage as a force of habit from when they were good, over a decade ago but they have turned into Fox News Lite minus any type of focus or purpose. Their commentators and anchors are spineless and have sold out, so that they could come in a distant 3rd in the ratings for the major 24 hour news networks.

MSNBC reminds me of the democrats from 13 or 14 years ago before Howard Dean took over. Just weak, ineffective, and no sense of direction, trying to appeal to people that would rather shoot themselves in the head than support them.
