Just imagine the DNC convention for comparison

So far, the themes of the RNC convention have been:
- "We're all gonna die!"
- "Burn the witch!"
- "More coal!"

Imagine a DNC convention with:
- people with name-recognition
- talk about economy and jobs
- actual numbers and proposals

I can already anticipate the media's response..."was it too wonky?", "is it really connecting with the average voter?", "did Hillary's pantsuit turn away undecided voters?"

We are not going to take the high road, we can't. Voters will want to see trump reality. He is horrible and convention speakers must focus on that. This is the last chance before the debates. It must be done. Of course throw in vision and policy but a trump difference must be shown. There are still 20-30 percent undecideds out there and they probably are watching.

Sanders protesters and all. There will be disruptions unless the DNC keeps them all out.

no matter what the DNC/Hillary camp does. They are going to make a big fuss because they have no sense of priorities, history, or the danger from the other side.

I've heard literally dozens of people give the excuse that they will vote for Trump because he's not Hillary.

I've since paused and realized that it wouldn't have mattered who the Democratic Party nominated as its candidate for POTUS, the Republicans would have gone into smear hyper-overdrive in making that candidate seem like he/she is Satan's bastard red-headed stepchild.

If Sanders would have been nominated, they would have linked him as a commie and associated him with people like Joe Stalin, Mao Tse Tung or other prominent communists (yeah I know communism and democratic socialism are not interchangeable, but the low-IQ Republican minions think they are).

They did the same thing in smearing John Kerry, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and others. It's never a campaign based on how the Republican will be good for the U.S., but how horrible the Democratic candidate is.

So, I'm calling out all of you Republican lemmings who can't even make a decision on when to go to the bathroom without an authority figure telling you when to go, where to go and how much - Do you really think Trump is even REMOTELY qualified to be POTUS, given his business resume, his inexperience in holding a public office, his behavior during the primaries, and the tasteless comments he's made along the way?

I saw this post on DU earlier this morning and couldn't have said it better:

And there we have it, folks.

Eight years of complaining about how “divisive” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about how “racist” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about how “unpresidential” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about how “politically inexperienced” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about how “dishonest” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about how “corrupt” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about how “bumbling” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about how “embarrassing” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about how "self-absorbed” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of complaining about what a “warmonger” Obama is, and they nominate Donald Trump.

Eight years of asking “Where are the jobs, Mr. President?” (which were being added by the thousands for several dozen consecutive months), and they nominate a man whose main claim to fame is making a gleeful catch-phrase of “You’re fired!”

Today, we have the GOP to thank for saving us a lot of time from here on in. There is not a single argument they could make that can’t be instantly shut down by simply reminding them of what they did today.

They officially nominated, to hold the office of President of the United States, as Commander-in-Chief of its military, nominator of its Supreme Court justices, and primary influence on its domestic and international policies, Donald effin' Trump.

They did this today.
