4. I politely disagree.

The VP choice would simply get lost in the drama of the final hours of the RNC. Do you really think the networks would cut away from the Donald to show Hillary and her VP? With all due respect, Hillary and the VP will come across as milquetoasts, if they even bother to do more than a text crawl at the bottom of the screen.

Waiting until tomorrow is a vastly better idea.

5. I don't mean officially

I mean an unsubstantiated leak placed with some finesse. Just enough to steal some of Trump's headlines tomorrow morning after his big night. Stealing just a bit of his limelight will piss him off like nothing else as evidenced by his WWE reaction to Cruz. Probably would even provoke him off message by tweeting over the news of his own speech.
