US Rep. Joe Kennedy asked to speak at Democratic convention
Updated: JULY 20, 2016 2:55 PM EDT
"
BOSTON (AP) - A Kennedy is being added to the list of speakers at the Democratic National Convention.
Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy III said Wednesday he was approached by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren about speaking before she's expected to speak Monday, the first night of the convention in Philadelphia.
Warren has been vetted as a possible running mate for presumptive presidential nominee Hillary Clinton."

Bringing Kennedy into the fold would indeed free up Warren's Senate seat for the popular young Dem.

US Rep. Joe Kennedy III is slated to speak on Monday at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren reached out to the fellow Democrat, who is also a former law school student of hers, about a speaking slot, Kennedy told reporters during a visit to the Massachusetts State House."
Warren's name is in circulation as a potential running mate for Clinton. Warren, a Cambridge Democrat, won the Senate seat after beating Republican incumbent Scott Brown, who is now a prominent Trump supporter.
Earlier this month, Kennedy said he would consider running for Warren's Senate seat if Warren joins Clinton on the ticket and wins the White House.
Warren was his law professor.
Cool huh!

OP
Agree. Who will fill his House seat? That is a very important bit of strategy,

(7,574 posts)1. I was not for Warren at first.....
but after watching Hillary and Elizabeth on the stage together...I changed my mind....I think Kennedy could win that senate seat....my initial worry was that we would lose that seat if Warren became the VP....but I am no longer worried about that. It would be phenomenal if we had two women on the ticket..and another first for the Democratic party.

but I'm betting the MA Dems have already planned for this.
