Make no mistake, Trump wants to win. He just doesn't want to do the job

He has zero interest in the day to day actual work of a president. Zero. Every single report shows him as disinterested in governing, policy or actually doing something meaningful.

But he wants to be able to say the people of the US elected him president. He wants to win. And, because he completely disregards what it actually means to be president, he casually lies, uses racist dog whistles and says things he thinks his base wants to hear even if it means global upheaval.

He cares about nothing beyond saying he kicked ass. And that combination of ego and laziness is YUGELY dangerous.

If Trump is elected, I have great faith in the ability of the Democratic Party to block his stupid goals and to destroy him.

GWB wanted it for two reasons.

To reconcile his oedipal complex and to have everyone kiss his ass.

Had no interest in DOING the job.

This is the ultimate con job for the Donald.

Just wants it to bilk the country like his MO in business is, and like GWB have everyone kiss his ass.

He has not even put the first thought into actually DOING the job, nor will he.

His base worships him and it would be a big mistake to believe he's not formidable. I totally agree that he doesn't want the job - just the prestige and the power that comes with the title.

It is our job to see that he doesn't get the chance to ruin this country.
