I listened to Donald Trumps Speech...I have to tell you

I have never heard so much fear and loathing in my life.. He gave the Impression that America was under attack not only from abroad but from within. He promised swift justice...which to me sounded a lot like military action, the possible use of Nuclear weapons. No Nuclear weapons have been used since World War Two. I am thinking that, that is a record Donald Trump is not afraid to break. His vision for America is to use the military swiftly and he also stated he will be the Law and Order candidate. Militarized Police? Most Likely.

This man has no clue what is going on in the world.. no clue. But he is willing to make America a mirror image of what Putin has in Russia. Its bad enough we have lost some of our freedoms, but it sounds like, at least to me, the last of them, will fly out the windows. It will truly be like a George Orwell novel.. except it will be real. We HAVE TO STOP THIS.

Drawing that comparison only reaches people who care about history. People do know who Hitler was, but not so many know much about Mussolini. In that sense, there's little point in the comparison, really. I understand it. You understand it, but most voters don't understand the comparison at all, and aren't interested in an explanation of it.

This is the 2016 campaign, and we need to focus on 2016 and the near future and the recent past. That's what people remember. That's what people understand.

Mussolini..... oh yeah! Those little Italian cars! Or was it a type of biscotti?

Even a lot of people who actually know who Mussolini was don't know he (and not Hitler) sorta "invented" fascism. People kinda know what fascism is, but a lot think it's just totalitarian and don't get the connection to commerce and big business.

I have always seen films of Hitler, but they were of course in German, which I don't speak so I never understood what he was saying. The subtitles make a huge difference, but as I watch this even in Black and White, its still chilling to see just how cold and calculated the Nazi's were. Had they gotten a hold of Nuclear weapons, I am sure they would have made thousands of them and devastated this planet.

Now, fast forward to his age, there are thousands of Nukes here in America, and Donald Trump is not afraid to use them.

Conservative thinking is trying to make things like they were in the past. Like they said in Star Trek, that's the wrong direction, we want to go. The future is ours... and for generations to come. Conservatives won't even come up with money to fix the things that are in the present. This past 8 years, Republicans have sat on their hands refusing to do anything for that "Black man in the office". They didn't want to give him any credit for anything even if he acted on their own ideas. That is not what we need. What we need now is to look at our goals of the future, and make sure we implement them so everyone will benefit.

Robert Ludlum's books were great because, to quote Wikipedia,

they and The Holcroft Covenant "reflected the theory that terrorists, rather than being merely isolated bands
of ideologically motivated extremists, are actually pawns of governments or private
organizations who are using them to facilitate the establishment of authoritarian rule."

Republicans think many of them should have just died in a war, so they don't have to come back to America and rely on the US government to give them free health care, and medicines. If they had their way there would be no Veterans Hospitals, they would rather VETS just off themselves despite the fact, they served their country far more than many have.

At the start of his speech:

Who would have believed that when we started this journey on June 16th of last year we – and I say “we” because we are a team – would have received almost 14 million votes, the most in the history of the Republican Party, and that the Republican Party would get 60 percent more votes than it received four years ago. The Democrats, on the other hand, received almost 20 percent fewer votes than they got eight years ago.

GOTV for sure, because if these numbers hold, many of us will l have to learn what world his win might have come from, if we don't try to get a clue about that world in time for GOTV efforts.
