2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHer VP choice has been made and it's Kaine. It is a done deal.
So, what exactly is the point in trashing Kaine and our Democratic ticket now? Nothing is going to change and it just creates negativity. It is now time to stop the totally pointless pearl clutching and do everything we can to GOTV for Team Hillary, and defeat the orange mad man. Just saying.

(42,862 posts)... and it's impossible to know for sure. But, I'm like you, I find it difficult to comprehend or understand what motivates some people to behave as they do. Some of the things I see here and elsewhere suggest to me a level of immaturity that (by all rights) should disqualify someone from being able to vote in the first place. The level of vitriol and selfishness I see (especially at that site that shall not be named) as they express their "disappointment" and "concern" over Kaine, suggest to me that these are people who'd have never voted for Hillary under any circumstances.
But, as I mentioned before ... I remain hopeful that this will be coming to an end. This seems to be the final opportunity to subtly (??) continue to primary battles. I'm convinced of this because the attacks appear to be LESS about Kaine, and MORE about their disappointment that Hillary didn't give pay homage to the ultra-liberal wing with a VP-pick that amounted to a "consolation prize".
Sigh ... this too shall pass, I hope.

(36,926 posts)If people hate the Democratic ticket so much, they're free to take their marbles and go home. But we who are gearing up to destroy one of the greatest threats to Democracy in my lifetime, would appreciate a place where we don't have to put up with our candidates being thrown under the bus. Especially when it is completely futile, from the complainers point of view.
