I don't understand why the million or so protestors the leaders expect in Philly

weren't out there protesting the evil going on in Cleveland.

They weren't. The demonstrations were very small and contained in Cleveland. So why do progressives protest other progressives more than the party at the other extreme?

Why do they think it will help their cause to appear so divided? To send the message that everyone on the right and many people on the left hate Hillary?

Why weren't these people out there protesting the monster in Cleveland?

http://nypost.com/2016/07/05/organizers-planning-for-1-million-protesters-at-democratic-convention/

The City of Brotherly Love is expecting up to 200,000 protesters at this month’s Democratic National Convention, the Philadelphia mayor’s office told The Post.

Protest organizers, however, say they are planning for 1 million protesters. “It’s becoming more and more realistic as the days go on,” said the chief organizer, Billy Taylor, 31, who holds permits for three-quarters of the permitted protesters.

It's gonna be 99 degrees on Monday and only a notch cooler on subsequent days.

Most people can't stay outside in that for more than a few hours of exertion.

They simply "claim to be", but in reality they are right wing trolls, and trump trolls. They only want to make the Democrats look bad, and help Trump win.

I think one basic principle here is people feel like they were personally wronged by people they thought were on their side. The Republicans on the other hand are just as terrible as everyone excepted them to be.

OTOH, even the 200K that Philly is preparing for makes no sense.

I don't get why that is so difficult to understand. There are a lot of people out there who feel neither party represents them. And there are also a few people out there who are downright anarchists.

Others just want to bring attention to their cause or message and want the delegates and the TV cameras to hear it.

Meanwhile I hope the real progressives and liberals inside the hall have some very good AC.
