Trump dodges question on whether Ailes is advising his campaign
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in an interview broadcast Sunday praised former Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes who resigned last week but declined to say whether Ailes is helping his campaign.
"Well, I don't want to comment. But he's been a friend of mine for a long time," Trump told NBC's "Meet the Press."
Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson accused Ailes of sexual harassment in a lawsuit filed earlier this month. Other women have reportedly come forward with harassment allegations against Ailes since then, including Megyn Kelly.
Reports surfaced last week that Ailes would be ousted from the network either by being fired or forced to resign. His resignation was announced last Thursday.

While driving back from Maine yesterday, I heard a report on NPR that Ailes was expected to join Trump's campaign as Director of Communications, now that he no longer works for Fox.
