If Clinton wins the election I will cry with relief and happiness for a week. If she wins Georgia too, I would scream from the rooftops!

If Trump wins, I will need to be heavily medicated.

and I think the Russian thing will have a big impact here. Hillary is a white Methodist woman, a type folks in Georgia are used to. Trump is a nasty New Yorker with Russian connections. Kaine plays harmonica with bluegrass bands sometimes. That will feel very homey to folks outside ATL.

will do everything in their power to "order" our middle and not so middle
class "ladies" to vote for the Donald because they would prefer the rest of us believe them. When I see those two I have the urge to throw something at them. One in particular actually preaches to us.

I'd be surprised to see Hillary win here, but it would be embarrassing as hell for tRump to lose what's supposed to be a safe state for him. If the polling stays close I'd expect him to pour massive resources into his campaign here.

As I side note, I've done a lot of driving to hither and yon the past few weeks and have only seen one single solitary tRump yard sign. I've lived in a very red Georgia county for over 20 years, and there were any number of Bush, McCain, and R-Money yard signs during those elections. It's really weird, tRump just doesn't resonate with people here the way any other GOPer would.

I think one thing is that he's done an extremely poor job of pretending to be Christian. The only thing he worships is money, and I believe people are seeing through him on that.

The last time SC supported a Dem candidate was Jimmy Carter. Don't know if I will live long enough to see it again, but I would be ecstatic to see SC nestled in between a blue GA and NC this year.
And, look for SC to be about a 3-5 point spread. We are probably several more cycles away from being able to vote Dem again, but if the GOP keeps throwing up candidates like Trump, who knows?

to see it that close. Maybe one day....Look at VA..in the past it was always solid for Republicans. Now it was blue for 8 yrs. plus Hillary is leading there now.. Maybe one day GA will be purple...That will force them to spend money there...

It doesn't really matter. Clinton was polling +7% nationally around the time this was taken. People don't understand these things are correlated. Clinton can't lose 9% national and expect to keep or improve her 1% lead in Georgia.

Maybe I'm wrong. It is possible that Clinton could lose Florida, Nevada, Iowa, Ohio, and New Hampshire but somehow win Georgia. Just historically it doesn't work that way.

...I must be the only dem in the area. The paper is full of hair on fire Hillary/Obama haters every day. When I rebut one with facts in a letter, I can expect to be called names. In line at the register while shopping a complete stranger behind me started telling me what a sorry president Obama is. I turned around and angrily told him Obama would go down in history as one of the greats. I have asked "friends" not to send me political emails but they continue to do so out of arrogance. I would be afraid of Hillary and Obama's safety if they came to this area.

she's in a more rural area and feels like the only Dem. We always wonder why the bashers think it's okay to spout off any time they feel like it but you are demonized if you say anything contrary. She has to keep a low profile because of her job but she broke down and posted a response to a particularly bad Facebook post last week.

Hang in there!
