I think he was surprised this happened. What he should have done at that stage is stop right there and tell them how wrong it was. This reminds me of mccain stopping to correct a supporter who was saying obama was a kenyan muslim. I do not agree with mc cain at all but in this instance this was the right thing to do.

Sanders could just have said that

As my delegates, you are supposed to support me. I believe the path forward is to elect secretary clinton and wok toward advancing this progressive platform. If you can not get behind me then please hand over your credentials and resign as delegates

he was almost blindsided. It's a new reality for all of the Sanders folks, him included.

Whatever one thinks of their behavior, at least it should be noted they did not turn against him.

Combine politics and crowds and a lot of unresolved tension, that's the kind of reaction you get.

If Bernie or someone else got up and said people should vote for Jill Stein, they'd get the same disrespectful response from the otehr side.

There would have been rapturous applause had he announced his support for Stein. These are Green Party types who impersonated Democrats during the delegate selection process.

I hope they have the chairs bolted down and I hope the Secret Service is taking care of business.

And I hope we have closed primaries in all 50 states going forward. Keep those loons outside the building where they belong.

His 'revolution,' on the other hand, after seeing the shitshow display those 'revolutionaries' are putting on for the media, is DOA and that's probably a good thing.

If he is truly motivated to give his policies for healthcare, social security, minimum wage, environmental protection, criminal justice, reproductive rights, campaign finance reform, lgbt rights, affordable college, etc, a chance for being enacted, and his delegates and supporters instead vote to create a Trump presidency, his efforts will have been a failure of epic proportions. A "revolution" that results in fascism and the wholesale loss of rights is a nightmare, not a dream come true, and is certainly nothing to be proud of.

The political revolution is reverting back to the Democratic principles of Franklin Roosevelt.

If there is a new push to it, then it is being honest about what is going wrong in instituting real support for working class people.

Sanders has been the permissive parent throughout this primary season: failing to admonish his supporters at each turn when they overreached, bullied, created bogeymen (well, he pretty much led the charge to create bogeymen), and generally acted badly. He and they whined and cried "unfair" after the count of each vote they lost. They led Internet bullying sessions, caucus bully sessions, and were told this was a "revolution."

And now he wants to go back to Washington with some dignity, and he can't put the genie back in the bottle. I said he was a weak leader from the beginning. This is the result of that weakness.

I am angry, and have no sympathy. As the Coachman said in Pinocchio after they were sent to Pleasure Island: "Alright, boys, you've had your fun, now pay for it!"

If he doesn't speak to his own delegates about bullshit behavior, he's useless.
