Are any of you really surprised?

I mean really? Hillary has been the presumptive nominee for the last 8 years; from the minute she lost to Obama.

I don't need links or videos to recall the tone at the time. I don't need go research and find specific quotes. It was always going to be Hillary.

Does anyone here really believe anything else?

I like Bernie... In fact damn near everyone here loved Bernie until he decided to run. He has always caucused and voted and supported the Democratic Party.

I don't care what the letter in front of his name is. He's always sided with us. Period.

This isn't high school where nobody wants to run against the student council officials because they're the popular kids... This is the real damn world.

Bernie has always been there for the party and will continue to do so. Isn't it about time to stop talking about him like being an "independent" is a bad thing; especially when he votes with YOUR elected officials?

The primaries are over. Hillary Won.

Bernie supporters don't like it. We don't feel like we every REALLY had a choice. Maybe we did, maybe we didn't, but don't think for a second that continuing to insult us is going to make it any easier to vote for a person we didn't want when we don't think we even really had a choice to begin with.

I do not want to vote for Hillary. It has nothing to do with her being a woman. I've voted for just about every woman with a D in front of her name that I could. I could care less about that.

I would have loved Warren, but that was never going to happen.

So now... It's Hillary or Trump.

I'm not stupid. I "think" I know what a Trump presidency would mean. I'll be voting for Hillary, but it doesn't feel good. It doesn't feel like the "right" thing to do... It feels like the only choice.

But I'll do it anyway because the alternative is too damn terrifying to imagine.

It would be nice though if SOME of you would just stop rubbing my nose in it. It makes this place nearly unbearable. Of course I won't be surprised if this gets flagged and I end up with a TS, but quite frankly if that happens then oh well. I rarely comment anyway.

I always try to push back on the tiny minority who don't respect Bernie's long record in the Senate and try to ignore his voting with and caucusing w his Democratic colleagues in the Senate.

They don't represent the majority of DU'ers and never will.

Additionally baseless Bernie bashing is against the Terms Of Service of DU. Site owners don't accept that and posters who do it need to called out and alerted on.

But DU doesn't represent the majority of Democrats either.

Most of Dems I talk to aren't informed, and don't know the issues anyway.

However it's the same on the other side. My step dad was spouting off about how Hillary lied under oath (as Hannity was playing in the background) and so I asked him what she said.

He did know. He didn't want to talk about politics anymore.

People are mad, and most of them don't even know why. They're so mad that they are willing to put a lunatic in the Oval Office because he's someone new.

That discussion, or lack there of really, was what told me I couldn't just sit out and not vote.

You can't blame Bernie for the actions of those folks. Nor do they represent the majority of Sanders primary supporters.

I'm a lurker, and I've checked in here regularly since the Bush days. This place has usually been the voice of reason. You are right that now this place is nearly unbearable.

So what if Hillary supporters wanted her since early on. I am excited and I am voting for the most qualified person ever.

The extreme actions of some of the convention protesters don't represent most of us. And I don't hold the extreme views by some DU posters as representative of real thinking Democrats either.

Great post!! Thanks, PTM.
